Follow-up with those you’ve solicited donations from but didn’t yet receive a response. People’s intentions are in the right place, but we can all get sidetracked with our busy lives. Reach out to your friends and family again — this time send them photos and let them know all about your personal experience with the 2010 Run/Walk. Motivate them to finally take the time to make their important donation!
It’s essential to ask all your donors if their employers have a Matching Gift program. Many companies will match donations made by their employees to qualified non-profit organizations. Think about it — it’s the potential to increase (even double!) your fundraising goal!
* To qualify for a fundraising incentive award, all donations must be received by 5 pm PST on Friday, June 11, 2010. Awards are not cumulative — only one award is granted per participant. Company matches do not count toward fundraising award totals.

The Facts About Women’s Cancers
It is estimated that in 2010:
- More than 273,000 new cases of women’s cancers will be diagnosed this year in the U.S.
- Approximately 40,000 women will die from breast cancer in the United States
- Breast cancer will account for 27% of all cancers diagnosed in women in the United States
- Approximately 22,000 new cases of ovarian cancer are expected this year
- About 15,000 women will die of ovarian cancer
